Dekko Bird is an interior styling practice based in Belfast.
The Dekko Bird blog accepts some forms of advertising, including sponsorship and product placement. Advertisements are used to improve the blog and to offset the costs of running it. Some of the regular costs include domains, hosting, social media/promotion managing tools etc. All sponsored content is stated. Brands have little editorial control over the content I create with regards to sponsored posts (or gifted products that appear on the post). I only recommend products that I love.
This blog is written and edited by Keira Marshall. If you have any questions, please use the contact page.
Occasionally, Dekko Bird will seek financial payment in exchange for promoting, recommending and showcasing products or services. I may also get compensation to feature products in my interior photographs across the blog and social media. Even though I receive financial payment for the posts, I always give honest opinions and findings.

Information Collection And Purpose
Information that you share with Dekko Bird enables me to provide a service to you and I collect this information by telephone, electronic and written correspondence or via my website. I may ask you for information including your name, private/business address, contact telephone numbers and email address. I may also ask you for other information that relates to the service you are using or ordering.
Please note when you enter your email address on the Dekko Bird website under the subscriber area, you are providing consent for me to use your email address for my subscriber list. I normally send out a newsletter monthly plus a weekly blog update, but can do more than this on the odd occasion for marketing purposes. I use MailChimp as a newsletter service. When you agree to signing up to my newsletter, the email address is stored on my website and sent to MailChimp subsequently. The emails will be stored on MailChimp indefinitely, unless you choose to opt out / unsubscribe (which you can do at any time). The emails stored on the website will be deleted on a regular basis once we know MailChimp has stored the email to use for the subscriber list, approximately after a 12 month period. The email address will not be passed on to any other companies, however may be passed on if Dekko Bird is required to do so by law, for example under a court order, or in response to properly made demands, under powers contained in the Data Protection legislation.
If you’d like to unsubscribe from the mailing list, please email email@example.com or press the unsubscribe button on an email you receive.
I also require clients’ information such as full name, address, email and telephone number so that I can keep in touch. I may send fabric samples to clients, call them if they require phone support and generally keep in touch in order to fulfil my design service. In light of this, information is collected from my clients for this reason. Please note I would never pass on a client’s personal data / information to another company without consent first. For example, I will not pass on your email address to tradesmen or a supplier without asking you for permission first. The only other occasion where this information may be passed on is if I am required to do so by law, for example under a court order, or in response to properly made demands, under powers contained in the Data Protection legislation.
If you purchase an interior design service, I will record your personal data such as name, address, phone number and email address. This is so that I can contact you to discuss your design needs, send fabric samples etc. In the same way, if you sign up to request for me to get in touch, by willingly entering your email to do so, you are giving me consent to contact you via this address and store your email address for up to a year, so that I can contact you. This information is collected through my website, after you’ve submitted it, and stored on a password protected document for one year.
Should Dekko Bird Interior Styling ever decide to be sold, please note that any data I collect will be passed on to the new owner for the same purposes as outlined by us. This is an assignment clause.
I am committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, I have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information I collect online.
