We may still be in the cold depths of winter here, but already IKEA is looking forward to the brighter days of summer, as it unveils a collection of exciting new products. The launch is definitely designed to bring some brightness into our homes, with a boost of colour, striking graphics and bold pattern guaranteed to help you both personalise and make a statement in your home interior.
As well as its latest collaboration project with British designer Tom Dixon in the form of the DELAKTIG bed frame and range of headboards, there’s a host of other new products out there that are well worth checking out. I thought I’d share my favourites with you which are coming to IKEA this February, so let’s take a look!
NORDMELA chests of drawers, from £150
NORDMELA offers easy adaptable storage solutions in the home – I really like the black-blue colour they come in and the fact that the lower chest of drawers can double up as a storage bench to sit on, as seen below. Perfect for a hallway or living room.

RÖNNINGE chair, £70
I love this little chair for its timeless good looks and versatility. Now in a sage green colour, along with the natural wood finish, the RÖNNINGE is ideal as a kitchen/dining chair or placed at a desk. The scooped seat and angled back promise comfort in its classic Scandinavian design.

SKYMNINGEN pendant lamp, £55
Another gorgeous, classically Scandinavian design, the SKYMNINGEN pendant will give any room a modern focal point. Created with 20 wafer thin blades, the central bulb remains hidden, yet casts a lovely glow sideways with a concentrated downward light. It comes in both beige and the standard white; I love the beige colour for its softness (and because if you read this earlier post… beige is back!)

GRIMSÅS pendant lamps, £45
The GRIMSÅS is available in two designs; one featuring a globe of white stars, whilst the other is a more unusual design of yellow starfish. These beautiful lamps will most definitely inject an individual style into your home. For me, it’s got to be the classic white star design, as I think it’d look perfect in a bedroom, living area or even hallway.

MÖJLIGHET collection, from £2
Created with older children and teens in mind, this collection features modern designs across bedlinen, as well as bedroom accessories. The concept for MÖJLIGHET is built around the idea that teenagers love to spend time relaxing in their rooms, whose design should be a reflection of who they are. The collection is full of bold textile designs and clever gadgets, perfect for adding some attitude and identity to a teen’s room. I really love the multi-coloured terrazzo design bedlinen and the headphone/tablet stand is yet another ingenious IKEA design that costs very little.

RABBLA storage solutions, from £9
The RABBLA storage boxes are practical, beautiful and sustainable to boot. Designed to be stackable, with the lower box featuring a range of compartments for storing smaller items such as jewellery and hobby items, RABBLA boxes come in a variety of sizes and can be stored in wardrobes or on shelves. They can even be used in the bathroom, as their sustainable bamboo and recycled polyester finish means they are fully moisture resistant, too.

SKÄRVFRÖ cushion, £4
A bold, monochrome cushion designed to give your neck or lumber region added support, the SKÄRVFRÖ cushion also packs a punch with its modern, on-trend design. It will add a fun pop of pattern to any interior scheme, sitting well alongside botanical designs or within a more muted pastel setting. It could give the ever popular LAPPJUNG RUTA a run for its money!

So what do you think of the new products arriving in store from tomorrow? Is there anything you’ll be throwing into your blue and yellow bag?
