May has arrived in all its glory here and across the country, patio tables and chairs have been dusted down, or in some cases, entirely stripped and repainted (you can get carried away when the sun shines), and friends invited over for impromptu barbecues and drinks in the garden. It’s fabulous!
I was planning a patio tidy up myself recently, when Amara Living got in touch asking me to take a look at some of their summer dining collection. As a blogger, I had initially heard of Amara as they host the IBAs (Interior Blog Awards), however if you haven’t come across them before, they are an über stylish homes and lifestyle store, housing over 300 of the world’s most luxurious home fashion brands, including Orla Kiely, Missoni Home, Ralph Lauren, HAY and Bloomingville, to name but a few. Amara have evolved since their inception in 2005 to build on their brand and product range, however quality of service and luxury style remain at their core and their website definitely reflects this.
Here are some products I want to show you in all their summery loveliness…
I invited a friend over for an al fresco lunch as it was the perfect weather for it this week and what better way to show off the new tableware Amara had kindly sent me. I chose pieces from their own brand product range A by Amara, in particular from the ‘Sugarbush’ summer dining collection; a range of rustic, colourful, terracotta dining ware, with each piece carefully hand painted in a beautiful tile design. Very in keeping with this year’s traveller trend for all things ethnic.
I love the clash of the zesty orange Sugarbush dining plate with the gorgeous aqua coloured tapas plate set on top. The smaller tapas plates would also be ideal for serving canapés on at a drinks party or BBQ.
I also chose a set of glass tumblers in a stunning array of coordinating colours from the LSA ‘Polka’ collection. The one pictured is from the pastel coloured set, however they also do a metallic range of colours which are equally gorgeous. I can foresee many an ice cold G&T in these over the coming months! They really are so pretty and comfortable to drink from – in fact, I can’t recommend the LSA brand enough for its utmost quality and luxury feel. You could even use them to serve chilled white wine – very continental!
The large terracotta salad bowl is also from the A by Amara Sugarbush range and features a delicate, summery, floral design on the inside in a bright lime green which I think completes the table setting perfectly. You could serve anything in it really, from salad leaves or fresh fruit in the summer to Moroccan couscous to accompany a hearty tagine in the winter months. Its solid terracotta feel means it’ll lend its weight in gold in the kitchen all year round.
Now just pour me a glass of something chilled and sparkling and I’ll be ready to properly enjoy these summery climes we’re having…
I hope you have a wonderful weekend whatever your plans.
